LWBHS recognizes that there is no better time than the present to offer an outlet of mental health resources for our youth and provide therapeutic engagement.
Due to Mental Health resources remaining limited, it’s consequence: The emerging incidences of child suicide gestures and attempts sharply increases, such as the experiences of bullying, inter-personal violence, and negative effects of mental health stigma. All often leave a long-term mark on our youth that follows them into adulthood.
Art Therapy offers mindfulness training that is highly advantageous to the growth and sculpting of the child or adolescent’s brain development and general well-being, showing positive effects on attention, self-regulation, articulation of emotion, immune function and a reduction in stress.
Our goal is to address the impact of stressors during the rapid stages of child development.
